Lucy Verasamy
Biography
Lucy Verasamy, born on 2 August 1980 in the United Kingdom, is an English weather forecaster known for her work with ITV Weather. She attended Silfield Primary School, Framlingham College Junior School, and King Edward VII School, where she studied A-Level Geography. Verasamy earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Geography and Earth Sciences from Brunel University in 2001.
She began her career at the Press Association’s weather centre, where she worked for four years as a forecaster. Verasamy gained prominence as the regular weather presenter on Sky News' breakfast show, Sunrise, and contributed to the Sky News website's Climate Clinic feature. In 2010, she joined ITV's Daybreak as a weather forecaster and environment correspondent, later becoming the sole weather presenter. Since 2012, she has been delivering national weather forecasts for ITV.
