Maria Bakalova

Biography

Maria Bakalova was born on June 4, 1996, in Burgas, Bulgaria. She began her artistic journey at the age of six, taking lessons in singing and flute. Bakalova attended the National School of Arts in Burgas, where she majored in acting for drama theater and pursued a second major in flute. Following her education in Burgas, she furthered her studies at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia, graduating in 2019. Bakalova gained international recognition for her role in the film "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm," which earned her a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Throughout her career, she has continued to build her reputation in the film industry.
