Maria Doyle Kennedy, born on 25 September 1964 in Ireland, is a versatile actress and recording artist. She made her film debut in 1991 with Alan Parker's The Commitments and has since appeared in notable films such as The General and Tara Road. Kennedy is also recognized for her television roles, including performances in Oliver Twist, the British version of Queer As Folk, and Hide and Seek (2006). In addition to her acting career, she has established herself as a musician, recording two albums with The Black Velvet Band before releasing her acclaimed solo album, Charm, in 2001. Kennedy is married and stands at a height of 168 cm (5' 6").
