Biography

Maria Luisa Mendonça, born on 30 January 1970 in Brazil, is a theater director and producer. She is the daughter of Lygia Maria Mendonça, a plastic artist, and Newton Mendonça, a lawyer. Maria Luisa has a daughter named Júlia with Rogério Gallo. She began her career in theater in 1987 with the play "Véu de Noiva." In 2006, she made her debut as a director with the production "Essa nossa juventude," for which she also served as producer. Alongside her work in theater, she enjoys painting and sculpting. Maria Luisa experienced the loss of her older sister, Maria Fernanda, at a young age.
