Biography

Maria Rosaria Omaggio is an Italian actress and writer, born in Rome. She made her debut in 1973 on the Italian television show Canzonissima. In 1976, she transitioned to film with roles in two "poliziotteschi" movies alongside Tomas Milian, including Rome Armed to the Teeth and The Cop in Blue Jeans. Throughout her career, she has appeared in numerous films and television series, and has also been active in theater. In 2011, she celebrated 25 years in the theater with the recital Omaggio a voi. One of her notable recent performances was in the film Walesa, Man of Hope, directed by Andrzej Wajda, where she portrayed journalist Oriana Fallaci. Additionally, Omaggio serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, contributing to various humanitarian efforts.
