Markéta Irglová, born on 28 February 1988 in the Czech Republic, is a Czech-Icelandic singer-songwriter, musician, and actress. She gained international recognition for her role in the 2007 film Once, where she starred alongside Glen Hansard. The film's song "Falling Slowly," co-written by Irglová and Hansard, won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, making her the youngest recipient of the award at the age of 19. In addition to her work in film, Irglová has released several albums and continues to contribute to the music industry. She is married and her current residence is not publicly disclosed. Standing at 160 cm (5' 3"), Irglová's artistic contributions have made a significant impact on both the film and music worlds.
