Biography

Mekia Cox, born on November 18, 1981, in Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, is an accomplished actress and performer. She moved to Orlando, Florida, at the age of seven and later graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Musical Theatre. Cox gained prominence for her role as DJ Sasha on The CW's "90210" and has appeared in several notable television series, including NBC's "Undercovers," ABC's "Secrets and Lies," and NBC's "Chicago Med." Most recently, she joined the cast of ABC's "Once Upon A Time" as Princess Tiana. In addition to her television work, Cox has acted in films such as "Crazy, Stupid, Love" and has participated in Broadway tours. She is also the founder of 42 Seven Productions, which produces the "Broadway at the W" series, showcasing performances from top talent. Mekia Cox is currently married and resides in the United States.
