Melissa Dettwiller

Biography

Melissa Dettwiller, born on November 12, 1977, in Houma, Louisiana, is an American bodybuilder, fitness model, and actress. She began her bodybuilding journey at the age of fifteen. Dettwiller and her husband resided in New Orleans until 2005, when they relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, after losing their home in Hurricane Katrina. Throughout her competitive career, she has achieved notable placements, including first place at the 2004 NPC John Shermann Classic and the 2005 NPC Louisiana State Championship. She also secured second place at the 2005 NPC Jr. Nationals and the 2005 NPC Southern Classic, and third place at the 2006 NPC Jr. Nationals. In 2007, she won first place at the NPC Team Universe Bodybuilding competition in New York. Dettwiller continues to be an influential figure in the fitness community.
