Biography

Michael Schumacher, born on 3 January 1969, is a German former racing driver renowned for his achievements in Formula One. Competing for teams including Jordan, Benetton, Ferrari, and Mercedes, Schumacher secured a joint-record seven World Drivers' Championships, tied with Lewis Hamilton. At his retirement in 2012, he held numerous records, including most wins (91) and pole positions (68), although these have since been surpassed by Hamilton. Schumacher's career began in karting, leading to notable success in junior single-seater series before his debut in Formula One in 1991. His tenure with Ferrari from 1996 saw him win five consecutive titles from 2000 to 2004. Apart from racing, Schumacher has been active in humanitarian efforts, contributing significantly to charity. In December 2013, he sustained a severe brain injury in a skiing accident, leading to extensive rehabilitation.
