Biography

Mikaela Calcagno, born on 30 November 1973 in Italy, is a prominent sports journalist. She began her career in 2002 with the Genoese television broadcaster Telenord, where she covered sports events, including the derby alongside Aldo Biscardi. In December 2003, she joined One Rome, serving as a presenter for news programs and focusing on football and basketball coverage. Calcagno produced and edited programs related to the football clubs Roma and Lazio for the same network. In 2005, she transitioned to Mediaset, becoming part of the sports editorial team at Italy 1, where she appeared in major sports broadcasts, including Studio Sport Stadium and Sunday. With the rise of digital terrestrial television in 2008, Calcagno took on a leadership role in sports news at Mediaset Premium, hosting programs such as Special Cup and Serie A Live. She has been a professional journalist since 30 January 2006.
