Mikaela Pauline Shiffrin, born on March 13, 1995, is an accomplished American alpine skier. She has won two Olympic gold medals and is a three-time Overall World Cup champion. Shiffrin has achieved remarkable success in slalom, securing four world championship titles and six World Cup discipline titles. At 18 years and 345 days, she became the youngest slalom champion in Olympic alpine skiing history. With a total of 69 World Cup race victories, she ranks second all-time among female alpine skiers and holds the record for the most slalom wins. Shiffrin is the only athlete to have victories in all six FIS Alpine Ski World Cup disciplines and is the first to win 17 World Cup races in a single season. Additionally, she has earned the distinction of being the most decorated American alpine skier in World Championships history, with six gold medals.
