Biography

Michael Elliot Epps, born on November 18, 1970, is an American stand-up comedian and actor known for his work in film and television. He gained recognition for his role as Day-Day Jones in the films Next Friday and Friday After Next and appeared as "Black Doug" in The Hangover series. Epps lent his voice to Boog in Open Season 2 and starred alongside Martin Lawrence in Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins. His film credits include Lloyd Jefferson "L.J." Wayne in Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Resident Evil: Extinction. Epps has also appeared in the sitcoms Uncle Buck and The Upshaws. He married Kyra Robinson, an executive at the Oprah Winfrey Network, in June 2019, and was previously married to Mechelle McCain from July 2006 until their divorce in September 2017.
