Biography

Mireille Darc, born Mireille Aigroz on 15 May 1938 in Toulon, France, is a French model and actress known for her collaborations with renowned actor Alain Delon. She gained prominence with her lead role in Jean-Luc Godard's 1967 film Week End and starred in various films including Le Grand Blond avec une chaussure noire and Borsalino. Darc studied at the Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Toulon and began her acting career in 1960. Her career faced challenges in the 1980s due to a serious car accident and subsequent open-heart surgery, coupled with her separation from Delon after a long-term relationship. After stepping back from film, she returned to television in the 1990s. Darc has received notable honors, including being named a Chevalier of the Légion d'honneur and a Commandeur of the Ordre national du Mérite. She was awarded the Légion d'honneur by Jacques Chirac in 2006.
