Nona Gaye is an American singer and actress, known for her familial ties to prominent figures in the music industry. She is the granddaughter of jazz musician Slim Gaillard, the niece of R&B artist Frankie Gaye, and the daughter of soul icon Marvin Gaye. Nona began her music career at the age of 14, signing with Third/Stone Atlantic and releasing her debut album "Love for the Future" in 1992, which featured the hit single "I'm Overjoyed." Gaye gained recognition as an actress after landing the role of Khalilah 'Belinda' Ali in the film Ali (2001), alongside Will Smith. She later appeared as Zee in the Matrix sequels and voiced Hero Girl in The Polar Express (2004). Nona Gaye has expressed her desire to continue pursuing both music and acting, emphasizing her commitment to her artistic identity.
