Biography

Özgü Namal is a Turkish actress born in Istanbul in 1978. She began her theatrical career at the age of 14 and graduated from Üsküdar Cumhuriyet High School in 1996. In 1998, she was admitted to the Theater Section of the Istanbul State Conservatory, where she participated in various plays, including "Tekrar Cal Sam" and "Taraf Tutmak." Namal gained prominence in film and television with leading roles in productions such as "Beynelmilel," "Polis," and the TV series "Yeditepe Istanbul."

Her performance in the play "Kiralik Oyun" earned her the title of "Most Successful Comedy Actress of the Year" at the Afife Theater and Sadri Alisik Theater Awards in 2005. She has also received multiple "Best Female Actress" awards at international festivals, including the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival and the Istanbul International Film Festival, for her work in "Mutluluk" and "Beynelmilel."
