The group, later renamed Labelle, achieved significant success with the disco hit "Lady Marmalade," making history as the first African-American vocal group to grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. After the group's dissolution in 1976, LaBelle launched a successful solo career, marked by hits such as "If Only You Knew" and "On My Own."
