Pattie Boyd
Biography
Patricia Anne Boyd, born on 17 March 1944 in Taunton, Somerset, is an English model, photographer, and author. She gained prominence as the first wife of George Harrison of The Beatles and later Eric Clapton. Boyd began her modeling career in 1962, working in major fashion capitals and appearing on the covers of Vogue. She met Harrison while filming The Beatles' "A Hard Day's Night" and married him in January 1966. Their marriage ended in 1977, partly due to his infidelities. Boyd later married Clapton in 1979, but their relationship also faced challenges, leading to their divorce in 1989. Boyd's photography has been exhibited internationally, and she published her autobiography, "Wonderful Tonight," in 2007, which became a bestseller. In 2015, she married property developer Rod Weston. Boyd's life and relationships have inspired several songs, including Clapton's "Layla" and "Wonderful Tonight."
