Paula Prentiss, born Paula Ragusa on March 4, 1938, in San Antonio, Texas, is an American actress renowned for her performances in several notable films, including Where the Boys Are, Man's Favorite Sport?, The Stepford Wives, What's New Pussycat?, The Black Marble, and The Parallax View. She is the daughter of Paulene Gardner and Thomas J. Ragusa, a professor of Social Sciences. Prentiss attended Lamar High School in Houston and later studied drama at Northwestern University, where she met her future husband, actor Richard Benjamin. Discovered by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer during her time at Northwestern, she secured a film contract that launched her career in Hollywood. Standing at 5'9", she has made significant contributions to film and television over the years and continues to reside in the United States.
