Peri Gilpin

Biography

Peri Gilpin is an American actress best known for her role as Roz Doyle on the television series "Frasier," where she served as the producer for Dr. Frasier Crane. A graduate of Skyline High School in Dallas, Texas, Gilpin initially worked as a makeup artist before transitioning to acting, aided by her mentor Blythe Danner. She has a background in sound engineering for radio shows and is the daughter of Jim O'Brien, a notable weatherman in Philadelphia. Gilpin co-owns the production company "Bristol Cities" with her "Frasier" co-star Jane Leeves. Notably, she has not received an Emmy nomination, unlike her fellow cast members. She has an artistic husband, Vincent, and after struggling with infertility, they welcomed twin daughters via surrogacy in 2004. Gilpin is also the older sister of actors Marc and April Gilpin.
