Biography

Philip Bosco is an accomplished American actor known for his extensive work in theater. He was born to Philip Lupo Bosco, a carnival worker, and Margaret Raymond Thek Bosco, a policewoman. He graduated from Saint Peter's Prep School in 1948 and earned an A.B. from the Catholic University of America in 1957. Before pursuing acting, he worked as a carnival worker and trailer truck driver and served as a private in the U.S. Army Signal Corps from 1951 to 1953. Bosco gained recognition for his performances in various productions, winning a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for "Lend Me a Tenor" in 1989 and receiving multiple nominations throughout his career. Notable roles include performances in "The Rape of the Belt," "Heartbreak House," and "Moon Over Buffalo." He has seven children and resides in the United States.
