Renée Elise Goldsberry, born on January 2, 1971, is an American actress and singer recognized for her contributions to both theater and television. She gained prominence for her performance as Angelica Schuyler in the original Broadway production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical Hamilton, for which she received a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Goldsberry's other notable stage credits include roles in Rent, The Color Purple, and Good People. On television, she is known for her portrayal of Evangeline Williamson on One Life to Live and Geneva Pine on The Good Wife. She also starred in the musical comedy series Girls5eva and the Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Goldsberry has received numerous accolades, including a Drama Desk Award and a Grammy Award. She is married to attorney Alexis Johnson and has two children.
