Ryan Douglas Hurst, born on June 19, 1976, in Santa Monica, California, is an American actor recognized for his diverse roles in film and television. He gained fame portraying Gerry Bertier in Disney's "Remember the Titans" and as Opie Winston in the FX series "Sons of Anarchy," where his performance earned him a Satellite Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Hurst also plays Edgar Roy, an autistic savant, in the TNT series "King and Maxwell." He began his career with a recurring role in "Saved by the Bell: The New Class" and later appeared in "Medium," "The Ladykillers," and "We Were Soldiers." Hurst is married to Molly Cookson, with whom he co-founded the production company Fast Shoes. They were married in May 2005. Hurst stands at 6 feet 4 inches tall and currently resides in Woodland Hills, California.
