Samantha Win Tjhia, known professionally as Samantha Jo, is a Canadian actress and martial artist born in Barrie, Ontario. She is the daughter of a Chinese father and a Caucasian mother and has two older brothers. Samantha began her acting career at the age of 10, featuring in various toy commercials and print advertisements after winning Talent Search Canada in 2001. She started practicing martial arts at four, eventually becoming a competitive Wushu athlete by 17, winning multiple medals at national and international competitions, and representing Canada in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Wushu tournament. This athletic background led her to Los Angeles, where she initially worked as a stunt double before transitioning to lead actress roles. Samantha is recognized for her skills in the action genre and is known for her strong work ethic and dedication to her craft.
