Samantha Ruth Prabhu, born on 28 April 1987, is an Indian film actress and model known for her work in Telugu and Tamil cinema. Raised in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, she is the youngest child of Prabhu and Ninette, with two elder brothers. Fluent in Tamil and English, she completed her schooling at Holy Angels Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School and earned a degree in commerce from Stella Maris College, Chennai. Samantha began her career in modeling during her late teens and made her film debut with the critically acclaimed Telugu romance Ye Maaya Chesave in 2010, directed by Gautham Menon. She has since starred in several successful films, including Brindavanam and Dookudu, solidifying her status as a leading actress in contemporary Telugu cinema. As of now, she is single and resides in India.
