Sebastian Koch

Biography

Sebastian Koch is a German actor born in Karlsruhe, Germany. He grew up in Stuttgart, where he was raised by his mother and spent some time in an orphanage where she worked. Koch studied acting at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich from 1982 to 1985. He is known for his diverse roles in film and television and has a passion for music, having initially aspired to be a musician or music teacher. Fluent in French, he dubbed his own voice in the French production "Princesse Marie" in 2004. Koch has a daughter named Paulina with his partner, Dutch actress Carice van Houten. He currently resides in Berlin, Germany.
