Sergi López is a Catalan actor, renowned for his versatile performances, particularly in villainous roles, as well as romantic and comedic characters. Born on December 22, 1965, in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Spain, he pursued his passion for the performing arts in France. His breakthrough came in 1991 when he was cast in the lead role of "Western" by French director Manuel Poirier, leading to a series of collaborations, including films like "La Petite-Amie d'Antonio" and "Marion." Although he gained recognition in France, his prominence in Spanish cinema grew with his performance in Ventura Pons' "Caricies" in 1997. López won a César Award in 2001 for his role in "Harry, Un Ami Qui Vous Veut du Bien" and has appeared in notable films such as "El Laberinto del Fauno" and "Dirty Pretty Things." His work has been praised for its depth and range, making him a respected figure in international cinema.
