Biography

Shanica Channell Knowles, born on November 17, 1990, in Miami, Florida, is an American actress and singer-songwriter. Raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she began her acting career with a role in the Nickelodeon series "Unfabulous" (2005) and gained further recognition for her performance in the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana" (2006-2011). Knowles has appeared in several other productions, including "Jump In" (2007), "MegaChurch Murder" (2015), "Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge, and Michel'le" (2016), "Time Capsule" (2018), and "The Young and the Restless" (2018). In addition to her acting career, she achieved early success in music by winning first place on "It's Showtime At the Apollo" at the age of 11 in 2002. As of now, she resides in the United States and is currently single.
