Biography

Liu Shishi, also known as Cecilia Liu, was born on March 10, 1987, in China. She graduated from the Beijing Dance Academy with a major in ballet and began her acting career in 2005 with the television drama The Moon and the Wind. Liu gained prominence for her role as Ruoxi in the time-travel drama Scarlet Heart (2011), which became a major hit in China and across East Asia. She is recognized as one of the New Four Dan Actresses and ranked 19th on Forbes China's Celebrity 100 list in 2017. Liu has appeared in various genres, including historical dramas, action films, and romance series, receiving multiple awards for her performances. She is married to actor Nicky Wu, with whom she has a son, born in 2019. Liu continues to be a prominent figure in the Chinese entertainment industry.
