Shruti Rajalakshmi Haasan is an Indian actress, singer, and music composer known for her work in both the South Indian film industry and Bollywood. Born to prominent actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika, she began her career as a child artist, contributing her voice to films and making guest appearances. Haasan made her adult acting debut in the 2009 action drama "Luck." She gained critical acclaim for her performances in films such as "Anaganaga O Dheerudu," "Oh My Friend," and "7aam Arivu." Her breakthrough came with the 2012 blockbuster "Gabbar Singh," the Telugu remake of "Dabangg." In addition to acting, Haasan is active in music, having worked as a singer in various Indian languages, composed music for films, and formed her own music band.
