Biography

Sophie Vavasseur (born 1992) is an Irish actress recognized for her role as Evelyn Doyle in the acclaimed Irish film Evelyn. Hailing from Dublin, she has built a diverse career in film, theater, and advertising. Vavasseur's filmography includes notable roles in Resident Evil: Apocalypse as Angela Ashford, daughter of the T-Virus creator, and in the IMAX film Twang. She also appeared in Reign of Fire alongside Matthew McConaughey and Christian Bale. On stage, she performed in Come on Over by Conor McPherson at The Gate Theatre. In 2007, Vavasseur starred in Becoming Jane, a film about Jane Austen's life, and featured in a British television adaptation of Charles Dickens's The Old Curiosity Shop. Additionally, she played a possessed teenager in the Spanish horror film Exorcismus in 2010.
