Biography

Steve Austin, born Steven James Anderson on December 18, 1964, is an American retired professional wrestler best known as Stone Cold Steve Austin. He gained fame in the late 1990s while performing for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), now known as WWE, where he became a central figure during the Attitude Era. Austin's character, a rebellious antihero, often clashed with WWF chairman Vince McMahon, earning him widespread popularity and financial success. He held 21 championships in his career, including six reigns as WWE Champion and victories in the 1997, 1998, and 2001 Royal Rumbles. Austin retired in 2003 due to injuries but remained active in WWE as Co-General Manager and made occasional appearances afterward. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009 and hosted the reboot of Tough Enough in 2011. Austin resides in the United States and is currently married.
