Biography

Tarsem Singh, born on 26 May 1961 in India, is an acclaimed director known for his visually distinctive films and music videos. He received his early education at Bishop Cotton Boy's School in Shimla before moving to the United States to study business at Harvard and film studies at the Art Center College of Design in California. Singh gained recognition as a director of music videos, collaborating with prominent artists such as Suzanne Vega, En Vogue, and R.E.M., whose video for "Losing My Religion" won six MTV Video Music Awards, including Video of the Year. He has also directed notable television commercials, including the Pepsi "We Will Rock You" campaign featuring major pop stars. Singh made his feature film debut with "La celda" in 2000, followed by works such as "The Fall" (2006), "Immortals" (2011), and "Blancanieves" (Mirror, Mirror) (2012).
