The Sounds

The Sounds are a post-punk alternative indie rock band from Helsingborg, Sweden, formed in 1999. The quintet consists of Maja Ivarrson (vocals), Jesper Anderberg (keyboards/piano/guitar), Fredrik Nilsson (drums), Johan Bengtsson (bass), and Felix Rodriguez (guitar). Their debut album, "Living in America," released in 2002, achieved commercial success, reaching #4 on the Swedish album charts, with the title track climbing to #3 on Swedish radio charts. The band followed up with "Dying to Say This to You" in 2006, which peaked at #8. They gained recognition through extensive touring, including performances at the Warped Tour and shows across the United States, Australia, and Western Europe. Their music has been featured in various films and commercials, contributing to over 500,000 records sold worldwide. Their third album, "Crossing the Rubicon," was released in June 2009.
