Biography
Thea Louise Gill, born on April 5, 1970, in Canada, is a Canadian actress recognized for her role as Lindsay Peterson in the television series Queer as Folk. After graduating from York University, she worked in theatre and various television and film roles while living in Toronto. Gill gained prominence in 2000 with her casting in Queer as Folk, which ran for five seasons. In 2001, she relocated to Victoria, British Columbia, and continued to split her time between Toronto and Victoria until the show's conclusion in 2005. Following the series, she appeared in the original series Dante's Cove in 2006 and pursued opportunities in Los Angeles. In addition to acting, Gill is a jazz singer, having performed on cruise ships and in Toronto clubs. She was previously married to director Brian Richmond from 1993 until their divorce. Gill identifies as bisexual and maintains a friendship with her co-star Michelle Clunie.
