Thelma Todd
Biography
Thelma Todd was an American actress born in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She appeared in approximately 120 films between 1926 and 1935, gaining recognition for her comedic performances. Notable works include her roles in the Marx Brothers' films "Monkey Business" and "Horse Feathers," as well as appearances in Charley Chase's short comedies and alongside Buster Keaton and Jimmy Durante in "Speak Easily." Todd also featured in Wheeler and Woolsey farces and several Laurel and Hardy films, with her last performance in "The Bohemian Girl" being cut short due to her untimely death. She was briefly married to Pasquale "Pat" DiCicco from 1932 until their divorce in 1934. Thelma Todd died in Pacific Palisades, California, from carbon monoxide poisoning.
