Tim McInnerny is an English actor born on 18 September 1956 in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire. He is best known for his roles in the 1980s British sitcom Blackadder, where he portrayed Lord Percy Percy and Captain Darling. McInnerny was raised in Cheadle Hulme and Stroud, Gloucestershire. He attended Marling School, a grammar school in Stroud, before pursuing higher education at Wadham College, Oxford, where he studied English, matriculating in 1976 after taking a gap year to travel around the world. His extensive career spans stage and television, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
