Tina Hobley

Biography

Tina Hobley, born on 20 May 1972 in London, England, is an English actress known for her role as Ward Sister Chrissie Williams in the BBC medical drama Holby City. To overcome her shyness, Hobley attended speech and drama classes during her childhood and later trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art from 1990 to 1993. She gained early experience with minor roles in popular television dramas including Coronation Street and The Bill. In 2006, she faced suspension from Holby City due to participation in a commercial poker tournament, which led to her character being temporarily written out of the show. Hobley has contributed to charitable causes, including a donation to The Laura Sadler Memorial Fund. She was married to graphic designer Steve Wallington from 1998 to 2006 and subsequently married Oliver Wheeler later that year. Hobley has one daughter, Isabella, born in 2000.
