Tony Danza
Biography
Tony Danza is an American actor and television personality renowned for his work in sitcoms and theater. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Tony Banta in the hit series "Taxi" (1978-1983) and later starred as Tony Micelli in "¿Quién es el jefe?" (1984-1992). Danza received an Emmy nomination for his guest appearance in "El abogado" (1997) and earned acclaim for his performance in the Broadway revival of Eugene O'Neill's "The Iceman Cometh." His other television credits include "Hudson Street" (1995) and "The Tony Danza Show" (1997). Danza's film credits include "Angels" (1994) and "Illtown" (1996). He has a background in education, holding a degree from the University of Dubuque, and began his career after being discovered at a boxing gym. Danza continues to perform in his song-and-dance stage show, which has toured nationally since its debut in 1995.
