Biography

Vanessa Bell Calloway is an American actress known for her work in television and film. She began her acting career in 1985 with the ABC daytime soap opera All My Children. After relocating to Los Angeles in 1986, Calloway appeared in various prime-time television shows. She received a nomination for the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Under One Roof in 1996. Calloway made her film debut in Number One with a Bullet (1987) and had notable roles in Coming to America (1988), The Brothers, and Southside with You (2016), among others. In addition to her film work, she has featured in numerous made-for-television movies. Calloway has been married to Dr. Anthony Calloway since 1988 and has two daughters. She is also a breast cancer survivor, having been cancer-free since 2009.
