Vernon George Wells, born on 31 December 1945 in Rushworth, Victoria, Australia, is an Australian film and television actor recognized for his roles in action films. He began his career in the mid-1970s with appearances in Australian television shows such as Homicide and Matlock Police. Wells gained international fame for his portrayal of "Wez," a villain in the 1981 science fiction film Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. He transitioned to Hollywood, featuring in films like Commando (1985) alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Innerspace (1987). In the 2000s, he took on the role of Ransik, the main antagonist in the television series Power Rangers: Time Force. Over the years, Wells has often been cast as a villain in various productions, including Circuitry Man (1990) and Silent Night, Zombie Night. His early career included work in theater, rock bands, and television commercials.
