Biography

Volbeat is a Danish rock band formed in Copenhagen, known for their unique fusion of rock and roll, heavy metal, and rockabilly. The band's influences include classic rock icons such as Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, alongside modern hard rock and metal genres. The current lineup features vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen, bassist Anders Kjølholm, guitarist Rob Caggiano, and drummer Jon Larsen. Volbeat is signed to Mascot Records and has released five studio albums and one DVD. All of their studio albums have achieved gold certification in Denmark, with their second album, Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil, attaining platinum status. Their 2010 album, Beyond Hell/Above Heaven, received international acclaim and was certified double platinum in Denmark and platinum in Finland and Germany. Volbeat's fifth album, Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies, was released globally on April 9, 2013.
