Andreas Katsulas
Biography
Andreas Katsulas was an American actor born in St. Louis, Missouri, to a working-class Greek-American family. He developed a passion for theater at an early age and pursued a degree in Theater Arts at St. Louis University, later earning a Master's Degree from Indiana University. Katsulas began his professional career with the Loretto-Hilton Repertory Theater in St. Louis and subsequently performed with the Theatre Company of Boston and in off-off-Broadway productions in New York. He spent 15 years with Peter Brook's International Theatre Company, performing in diverse settings worldwide. Katsulas transitioned to film with roles in Michael Cimino's "The Sicilian," Ridley Scott's "Someone to Watch Over Me," and Blake Edwards' "Sunset." He was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer in early 2005 and passed away in Los Angeles in 2006, just months shy of his 60th birthday.
