Biography

Anita Page was an American film actress known for her prominence during the final years of the silent film era. She gained considerable fame and popularity, reportedly receiving the most fan mail of any actor on the MGM lot at the height of her career. Page's performances contributed to the transition from silent films to talkies, and she appeared in numerous films throughout the 1920s and early 1930s. With a height of 157 cm (5' 2"), she became a recognizable figure in Hollywood. While her career eventually waned with the advent of sound in films, Anita Page remains a notable figure in the history of American cinema.
