Biography

Briga Heelan, born on April 2, 1987, in Andover, Massachusetts, is an American actress and comedian recognized for her roles in the sitcoms Cougar Town and Ground Floor. She is the daughter of an actress and a playwright, growing up in a creative environment alongside her brother, Conor. Heelan attended the Walnut Hill School for the Arts and briefly studied at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music before transferring to the University of Southern California. Her breakout role came with Cougar Town, followed by a recurring character in Undateable and a lead role in Ground Floor, where her performance received critical acclaim. Heelan is married to her Ground Floor co-star Rene Gube. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
