Corey Todd Taylor, born December 8, 1973, is an American musician recognized as the lead vocalist and lyricist for the heavy metal bands Slipknot and Stone Sour. He co-founded Stone Sour and has contributed to five studio albums with the group. In 1997, Taylor joined Slipknot, replacing their original singer, and has since released four studio albums with them. In addition to his work with these bands, he has collaborated with various artists, including Junk Beer Kidnap Band, Apocalyptica, Anthrax, Aaron Lewis of Staind, and Soulfly. Taylor has received accolades for his vocal abilities, including a ranking of number 86 in Hit Parader's Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time. He resides in the United States and is currently married.
