Biography

Cristina Parodi is an Italian journalist and television host who began her career in the 1980s on local television channels TelePiccolo and Telereporter, followed by Odeon TV, where she hosted sports programs such as Caccia al 13 and Forza Italia. In 1990, she joined Fininvest as part of the sports news team, co-presenting Calciomania with Maurizio Mosca and serving as a correspondent for Pressing. During the Gulf War in 1991, she transitioned to news broadcasting and began presenting Canale 5 News, becoming a prominent anchor for TG5 alongside notable colleagues. In September 1996, she left TG5 to host Verissimo, a successful afternoon show focused on gossip and crime stories, until June 2005. She returned to TG5 in September 2005 to present the main evening edition. Cristina Parodi is the sister of fellow journalist Benedetta Parodi.
