Culture Club is an English band formed in 1981, known for their significant influence on the music scene of the 1980s. The lineup includes Boy George (lead vocals), Roy Hay (guitar and keyboards), Mikey Craig (bass guitar), and Jon Moss (drums and percussion). The band achieved worldwide sales exceeding 50 million records, with notable hits such as "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me," "Karma Chameleon," and "Time (Clock of the Heart)." Their second album, 'Colour by Numbers,' sold over 10 million copies and is recognized among the best albums of the decade. Culture Club's music blends British new wave, American soul, and Jamaican reggae, while Boy George's androgynous style garnered widespread attention. The band received multiple awards, including Brit Awards for Best British Group and Best British Single in 1984, and they remain a defining act of the Second British Invasion in the United States.
