Dan Marino, born on September 15, 1961, is a former professional American football quarterback from the United States. He played 17 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Miami Dolphins, where he became known for his strong arm and quick release. Marino set numerous passing records during his career, including being one of the first quarterbacks to achieve a single-season passing yardage of over 5,000 yards. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005. Marino is also recognized for his contributions to sports broadcasting and his philanthropic efforts. He resides in the United States and is married. At 6 feet 4 inches tall, he is regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.
