Biography
Daria Nicolodi (19 June 1950 – 26 November 2020) was an Italian actress and screenwriter, best known for her collaborations with director Dario Argento. Born in Florence, she began her career in the late 1960s, making her screen debut in Francesco Rosi's Many Wars Ago (1970) and participating in the television variety show Babau. Nicolodi starred in several notable films, including Elio Petri's Property Is No Longer a Theft and five films directed by Argento: Deep Red, Inferno, Tenebrae, Phenomena, and Opera. She claimed significant contributions to the screenplays of Argento's Suspiria and Inferno. Nicolodi had a daughter, Asia Argento, with Argento, and they maintained a professional relationship after their separation in 1985. She passed away in Rome on 26 November 2020 at the age of 70.
