He is an American actor best known for his role as Ryan O'Reily in the HBO series Oz, where he portrayed a cunning inmate navigating life in prison. Winters comes from a family of artists, with three younger siblings: poet and writer Bradford, sister Blair, and fellow actor Scott, who co-starred with him in Oz as his on-screen brother. In addition to his work on Oz, Winters has appeared in various television series, including Sex and the City, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, and 30 Rock. His film credits include roles in Undercover Angel and Hellraiser: Hellseeker.
